After a personal wellness transformation, Sophia Gatti -Taylor wanted to show others how to live well. Experience in sales and management gave her confidence to try business ownership, and she started Wisdom Wellness, LLC in 2012.
When Rick Acevedo launched Acevedo PC Services LLC in 2008, his goal was to build a successful business and sell it to a larger company in five years. That’s exactly what he did, last year selling the company to Pewaukee-based public accounting and business resources firm, Jannsen & Company. Acevedo attributes his spot-on business planning to the Entrepreneurial Training Program (ETP) he took at the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UW-Milwaukee.
Tracy Lundberg’s Sconnie Foods Squeezable Sauerkraut landed on grocery store shelves in the Chippewa Valley area in early 2013. Seeing the potential for sauerkraut that promised “less waste, less mess, less hassle,” Lundberg applied science and ingenuity to create squeezable sauerkraut.
